I took the Visual Sciences and Optics & Refraction examinations conducted by the Ophthalmology Foundation. The overall experience was excellent and very well organized. The questions in the Visual Sciences paper truly tested the core knowledge of the subject, while those in the Optics exam were thoughtful, challenging, and uniquely designed – reflecting real-life applications relevant to day-to-day clinical cases. Although I cleared only the Visual Sciences examination this time, the learning experience has been immensely valuable.I appreciate the Ophthalmology Foundation’s initiative in setting such a high standard of assessment, and I look forward to appearing for the Clinical Examination and Optics Refraction and Instruments in March 2026.
