After finishing my residency training, I rarely read comprehensive ophthalmology textbooks and instead focused mainly on my daily clinical work. Over time, this not only limited my knowledge but also reduced my curiosity for learning. The Ophthalmology Foundation examination was more of a personal challenge than a formal test for me, and that is what made it interesting. Preparing for the exam encouraged me to revisit many fundamental topics that I had not studied for years. On the examination day, I found that the questions were not designed to be tricky. Instead, they were logical, practical, and relevant to real-world ophthalmology. I would like to thank the Ophthalmology Foundation for organizing this examination in Vietnam and providing local ophthalmologists with the opportunity to participate in an international-standard assessment.
