New International Subspecialty Examinations Launching in March 2027
One of our most exciting developments is the introduction of two new internationally bench marked subspecialty examinations in Retina and Glaucoma.
Launching in March 2027, with applications opening in August 2026, these examinations have been developed by world-leading subspecialty experts and are based on the American Academy of Ophthalmology Basic and Clinical Science Course (AAO BCSC) curriculum.
Designed to assess advanced subspecialty knowledge against international standards, these examinations provide ophthalmologists with the opportunity to gain globally recognized qualifications while continuing their professional development.
This exciting expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, low-cost, internationally recognized examinations that support ophthalmologists throughout every stage of their careers.
Global Partner Spotlight: Arab Board of Health Specializations (ABHS)
This month, we are proud to launch our new Global Partner Spotlight Series, celebrating organizations that are helping strengthen ophthalmic education across the world.
Our first spotlight features the Arab Board of Health Specializations (ABHS), a regional, non-profit institution established in 1978 by the Council of Arab Ministers of Health of the Arab League. Through this partnership, we are expanding awareness of the Ophthalmology Foundation’s high-quality, low-cost, internationally recognized examinations and supporting more ophthalmologists across the Arab region in benchmarking their knowledge against international standards.
We look forward to highlighting many more organizations that share our commitment to advancing ophthalmic education worldwide.

Introducing Our Global Ambassador Network
We are proud to introduce the Ophthalmology Foundation Global Ambassador Network.
Our ambassadors have been selected from recipients of the David and Molly Pyott Travel Award and our top-achieving Ophthalmology Foundation examination candidates in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement and commitment to advancing ophthalmic education within their regions.

We look forward to introducing each of our ambassadors over the coming months.
