
Founding Board Director of the Ophthalmology Foundation, Hugh Taylor, AC, MD, has published a new book, “Opening Eyes; Preventer of Blindness.” It tells the story of the work he has accomplished over the years on eye care and the causes of blindness.
The book covers conditions such as trachoma and river blindness, the effect of UV-B and smoking on the eye, work with WHO and in developing areas, with IAPB and the ICO, and the work on Indigenous eye health and trying to “Close the gap for vision.”
