Candidates take the exam online at local host centers. We are always seeking additional centers in countries to reduce the travel time for candidates and create more opportunities for ophthalmologists. To qualify as a host center, you must be a senior ophthalmologist and have access to computer facilities. The Department of Ophthalmology at Saarland University Medical Center in Homburg/Saar, Germany hosted the first round of the new OF Exams this March. We have been very excited beforehand to see how the new online exams are perceived by participants. On the day, exams ran smoothly with technical support constantly on hand and initial queries regarding the online system could therefore be resolved immediately. Our participants were able to take their exams within the given time frame and were very happy with the implementation and support on the day of the exam. We are looking forward to host the next exams in September.
