Recognizing the need for addressing regional training priorities, Orbis International has created a “Foundation Curriculum,” with the Ophthalmology Foundation, which contains the essentials that all ophthalmologists should know and be able to do. The intent is for any group to create a customized curriculum by adding items relevant to their regional training needs.
“We would like to thank Dr. Karl Golnik, MD, and the Ophthalmology Foundation for their work
in the development of the Orbis Global Residency Foundation Curriculum, which aims to assist ophthalmology residents in receiving a solid educational foundation, empowering them to provide excellent eye care to their communities.” Hilary Twiggs, Director of Clinical Training, Orbis International
